1st Day : Leh - Chilling – Tilat Sumdo
(5 hrs)
From Leh you take the jeep to reach the village Chiling 3.250 m (10.660 ft).
In the afternonn set out for a walk on ice of the
frozen Zanskar river, Chadar. Feel the thrill of
adventure. Dinner and overnight stay at cave.
2nd Day: Tilat Sumdo -
Deepyokma (4 hrs)
Today we will trek up to Deepyokma. Dinner and overnight stay at cave.
3rd Day : Deepyokma
- Nyrakpulu (4-5 hrs)
Trek up to Nyrakpulu. Today we will camp below Nyarak
village, ten minutes up along a small stream. Dinner and
overnight stay at the camp.
4th Day: Nyerak
pulu – Lingshed
Today we will trek an hrs walk on frozen river (Chadar),
after that 5 hrs steeply up to Lingshed village. In this day
we will stay in private house, relax in a heated room.
This is one of the most remote villages in Ladakh,
visit Lingshed monastery, school for monks, explore the
village. Dinner and overnight stay at village houses.
5yh Day: Lingshed - Lingshed Do
(4-5 hrs)
Today we will trek up to Lingshed Do. Dinner and
overnight stay in tents.
6th Day : Ligshed Do - Tsarak Do
(5 hrs)
Trek up to Warsangdo. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
7th Day :
Tsarak do – Pishu
In the morning we will trek up to Pishu. Dinner and overnight stay in
private house.
If there is not many snow, we reach the
road in Onja and drive to Padum by jeep.
8th Day: Pishu – Karsha
In the morning trek to Karsha. Karsha is the place to visit the monastery from the 15th century. For that you have to climb the hillside. But it is well worth the effort, particularly for the view to the Great Himalaya range which you are unable to appreciate from Padum. .
9th Day: Karsha - Padum
The rest day at Karsha and Padum. Padum is situated in the beautiful central Zanskar plain surrounded by stunning mountains. Rest in Padum and visit the monastery.
Dinner and overnight stay in guest
house.
10th Day: Padum - Zangla
Today we will trek up to Zangla. Upon arrival at Zangla
visit the Zangla Nunnery. Dinner and overnight stay in house.
11th Day : Zangla –
Tsarak do
Trek up to Sarakdo. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
12th Day: Tsarak
do
– Nyerak pulu
Today we will trek up to Nyrakpulu. Dinner and overnight
stay in tents.
13th Day : Nyerak
pulu – Tsomo
Paldar
Trek up to Tsomopaldar. Dinner and overnight stay in
cave.
14th Day: Tsomo Paldar - Tilat Sumdo.
Today we will trek up to Tilatdo. Dinner and overnight
stay in cave.
15th Day : Tilat
Sumdo – Chilling - Leh
The last day of our trek. Today we will trek up to Chilling
and from here return back to Leh by Tata Sumo or Qualis
jeep. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
